Description
An Abuse Prevention Programme for People with Intellectual Disabilities
By David Hingsburger and Joe Jobes
2 disc and book set
This is a training programme to help people with disabilities recognize and report boundary transgressions which lead to abuse. It also teaches people with disabilities how to report abuse and what happens thereafter. Its aim is to ensure that people with disabilities are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities as mature citizens.
The Whole Truth involved people with disabilities as teachers and provides strong peer role models. Beginning with hiring of a staff, through molestation of one individual and the rape of another, to reporting to police and under going a rape test to testifying in court.
People with disabilities will learn to identify abuse and how to effectively deal with it.
